MTU RAIL

All over the world, rail operators count on MTU for reliable and efficient performance. That’s because MTU rail engines are built to meet the unique demands of their business—long operating cycles, low fuel consumption and the perfect specifications for the job. MTU products and services are designed with equal care to optimize engine life and performance while helping to ensure predictable maintenance costs.

THROUGH-LIFE SUPPORT

Our commitment to quality and uptime doesn't end after the sale. It is our duty to keep your engine running without troubles therefore we conclude service contracts and provide through-life support. With this we cover all the engine-related issues from regular maintenance, upkeep and optimization of various systems to complete overhaul of the whole engine. With maintenance program customized to each customer’s needs we will extend your equipment's life even longer.

MODERNISATION

Remanufacturing and repowering locomotives and railcars that have proven themselves on the job is a truly economical alternative to new purchasing. Locomotive and railcar repowering allows many features to be brought up to new-vehicle levels. Installing modern MTU diesel engines, tailored drive systems or compact MTU PowerPacks® not only increases repowered rail vehicles' reliability and uptime, it also lowers operating costs and exhaust-gas emission.
